Dr. Antonio G. Ruzzelli
I am a research fellow and a team leader in the CLARITY research centre at University College Dublin. At UCD, I lead a talented team that investigates technologies to empower building energy-efficiency, usage prediction, smart energy metering and wireless sensor networking. Some of our achievements on this topic have recently been awarded at the Globe Forum Ireland Innovation and featured in international newspapers such as the NYT.
Up to know, this research allowed me to attract significant funding from national agencies and at European level (e.g. EU-FP7). Currently, I principally Investigate some EU projects, please see the link for more details.
I have an interest in teaching and in the AY 2008/09, I lectured COMP40680: Introduction to Sensor Systems, at School of Computer Science and Informatics. Previously I worked at Philips research Eindhoven and Twente University. I received a 5-year laurea degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Ferrara and PhD in Computer Science from University College Dublin.
